Is techno changing for the better or is it all starting to sound the same? Let us know your thoughts!

Having just spent 2 months in Ibiza, I've got to appreciate the 'ibizan sound'. At least we've moved on from purely minimal which I found painfully boring. Most people must have felt the same as it didn't stick around for very long.

We now seem to have moved onto putting more beat and mixing different styles into that minimal sound. Chris Liebing and Carl Cox were great this summer in ibiza and if anyone still has time to go out, you should check them out on thursdays and tuesdays at Space. But where does that leave hard techno? Is it going back to being even more niche than before and associated with nutter german technoheads? Is there room for both? Do people in this country want hard techno anymore - it'll be interesting to see what Carl Cox plays at Bestival...
